In Bayonna, we settled into the Spanish way of life. Late lunches, even later dinners and lots more ice cream before we made a mad dash to Portugal.

After 2 days at sea, Lisbon was a real highlight and a very pleasant surprise. Beautiful old buildings and yummy custard pies. However, we didn't think much to the festival of the sea at Cascais, as the party didn't begin until 11pm, and the sound system was the same size as an articulated lorry. Somewhat bleary eyed, we made it into the centre of Lisbon for some culture, and cake.
Whilst in Lisbon, we met another boat with children onboard. Here are our friends on Carina, the rats (Richard,Amber,Tom & Shelly). The boys had a great time hanging out on another boat and Silas got taught by Tom how to boogie board. Thanks guys.
After an all too brief interlude in Lisbon, another mad dash south ensued. We had booked a place in a marina in Lagos whilst Chris disappeared to the middle east to work. Unfortunately the start date came upon us somewhat quicker than expected and we had a very lumpy trip south and round the western most point of Europe, Cabo San Vincent.
Thankfully whilst Chris was away, my parents stepped into the breach and helped out. (a big thank you as always!)
